In 2021 Mekayla graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Training during the height of the pandemic has allowed her to become proficient at rolling with the punches and adjusting to challenges as they come.

Since graduating Mekayla has been seen onstage as Ariel from "The Little Mermaid" as well as appearing onscreen as multiple characters including Judith in the feature length film "Wieland" directed by Cody Knotts. She was pleased to be able to bring her love for singing and songwriting into "Wieland"as she wrote and performed an original song in the film. Part of which can be heard in the film's trailer HERE.

Mekayla is currently in the process of working on an EP that she hopes to be able to share a release date for that shortly!
